Rachel Cheeney is owner/broker of Pro Resource Realty (established in 2007), with a centrally located office in Waterloo, IA.  She's a Cedar Falls, IA 'native' (since 1971), and holds BA degrees from Wartburg College(Waverly) and an AAA degree from Hawkeye Community College (Waterloo).

Rachel Cheeney is an ASP™ Accredited Home Staging Realtor, and has achieved REALTOR® designations of CRS, GRI, ABR,e-PRO, and most recently, SFR (Short Sale and Foreclosure Resource). 

Rachel began her real estate career as a licensed salesperson at Oakridge Realtors in Cedar Falls, IA who then named her "2004 Rookie of the Year" for her real estate accomplishments.  Then in 2006 while at RE/MAX Cedar Valley, Rachel met the two-year eligibility requirement and immediately undertook the 80+ hour coursework  to sit for the Iowa Broker License state exam.  In August 2007, as broker/owner, Rachel opened her "boutique" real estate company Pro Resource Realty, in Waterloo, IA.

In 2008, Rachel Cheeney earned the Presidential Award for leading the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Board of REALTORS'  "MLS Technology Task Force" committee through the multi-year selection process and transfer to a new MLS software provider.  Rachel has additionally served WCF committees including:  publicity,technology, MLS, education, and indoctrination.

Rachel's "pre" real estate business career spans across two decades...including sixteen years in manufacturing management as Vice President, Director of Sales & Marketing for Richway Industries, Ltd., an agricultural spraying equipment and industrial equipment fabricator.

Additionally, Rachel has contributed to a variety of professional development and community organizations, as past president of the Cedar Valley Manufacturers Association, chair of Iowa State University’s CIRAS advisory council, and member of the Department of Commerce – Iowa District Export Council, in addition to her contributions as a North Cedar Elementary PTA member and president, and former Girl Scouts Leader.

Rachel and her family enjoy their 1900's home and Cedar Falls acreage. Don Cheeney, her husband of 24 years, is employed by John Deere Engine Works. They have two daughters: Chelsea (a CFHS and Kaplan University graduate), is a nurse at Cedar Valley Medical Specialists Cancer Care Center; and Madeline, a junior at Cedar Falls High School, is a CFHS dance team member and senior company dancer at Kinetic Energy Dance Studio, also in Cedar Falls.
